Project Nest Box

Discover the wonders of nature with Project Nest Box!

Registration for 2024 is now closed.

Registration will re-open in Spring 2025.

Project Nest Box was inspired by the idea of helping a new generation of curious minds connect with nature. Every year schools across Canada and the United States receive specially designed bird nest boxes directly from the CleanRiver Family. Made from recycled plastic—and with lots of heartfelt love for the environment—every Project Nest Box kit is designed to spark imagination and a deeper appreciation for science and nature.

Just as spring arrives, students and educators get the chance to engage in hands-on learning as kids from kindergarten to grade 12 take the time and opportunity to build sustainable bird boxes together as a team and monitor the local bird activity and nesting patterns from March through June. This unique educational experience allows students to learn about the many bird species in their region and encourages each class to record and report on their findings as a part of their scientific adventure.

Since 2012, we have proudly crafted and donated over 3200 bird nest boxes as we continue to make strides to positively impact and inspire both education and conservation across North America. Registration is open to elementary, middle schools, and high schools. Sign up before March 15th, 2024 to receive a Project Nest Box Kit for your school or class.
